ABOUT ME

I am a human resource trainer, writer and speaker. As an educator, I have taught in both the public and private sectors in classrooms ranging from kindergarten to eighth grade. For several years, I have also had the opportunity to train teachers as a lecturer in the College of the Bahamas’ School of Education. (Yes, I like a challenge!)

My greatest joy comes from facilitating professional development sessions for educators. It is during these times that I learn a great deal from some of the most talented people ever!

This is my personal blog. It focuses on developing teachers as unique individuals. My mission is to help empower teachers to engage in personal development, take on leadership roles and live a life of passion.
Many teachers neglect to hone their skills and the valuable gifts within them that separate them as leaders. For this reason, I created this blog for committed educators who truly want to become better leaders so that they can bring about lasting change in students and those around them.

I tell teachers and school leaders to work harder on themselves than they do on their jobs. This is what I hope our time together here encourages you to do. I believe if we BE more then we can DO more. After all, we only teach what we know, but we duplicate who we are.
